We have survived !

Bloged in Baby Jed by Mel Monday November 13, 2006

We interrupt the updates on our London trip to declare that we have survived - our first year as parents !  Jed turned one year old on Friday.  It’s amazing, how he grew from a helpless little baby into a little (still very much helpless) human being with a unique (and perhaps fiery) personality of his own.

London Day 6 (Part I)

If it seems odd that most of the London pictures look cheerfully sunny, this is because London is experiencing its warmest and driest winter in years.  Well timed, in view of the fact that An Inconvenient Truth has just been released, and in view of economist Sir Nicholas Stern’s review on climate change and a report warning of the collapse of fish stocks

On the day that we moved to another hotel, there was a demonstration against US environmental practices outside the US embassy - a peaceful one as far as I could see.  Which was interesting, given that we’ve never had anything like this back in Singapore.

(For what it’s worth, my views on the environment are briefly summarised here).

London Day 5 : Buckingham Palace / Changing of the Guards

Not so pretty in winter because the guards are in grey coats instead of their red uniforms.  Anyone knows why the horseman in the last picture looks heavily pregnant ?

Though I didn’t really like the city, the musicals were great.  Particularly Spamalot.

Billy Elliot

(No pictures of the production itself as photography was not allowed).
