Dad’s close brush with death
A few days after our return from our honeymoon in New Zealand, my Dad fell seriously ill from a viral infection (his immunity is low because of the chemotherapy treatment). He collapsed at home and was admitted to the ICU where for 5 days he wrestled for his life.
For the first time in my life, and the life of others in my family, we had to seriously contemplate the possibility that he might leave us. But thank God, he pulled through.
After he was discharged, we held a party at home to celebrate his birthday and recovery. (No, the kid in the photo is not his grandson).
