Wedding Vows

Bloged in Courtship & Love by Mel Saturday August 30, 2003

I, Melvyn, take you, Joyce,
to be my lawfully wedded wife,
secure in the knowledge that you are
my soulmate by divine appointment
and will be
my constant friend,
my faithful partner in life,
and my one true love.

On this special day,
I give to you
in the presence of God and all these witnesses
my pledge
to stay by your side as your faithful husband
in sickness and in health,
in joy and in sorrow, as well as
through the good times and the bad.

I promise to love you unconditionally,
protect you from harm,
comfort you in times of distress,
celebrate your achievements;
To strengthen your Christian walk,
grow with you in mind and spirit,
always be open and honest with you,
and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.

Finally, after all the months of planning, we get married !

I feel sick …

Got back from Hard Rock cafe by cab at 0200 hours.

I feel sick.

Why does anyone ever want to get drunk ?

Drunk

To celebrate my impending wedding, my colleagues brought me out to Hard Rock Cafe for drinks.  The unimpressive picture below is of me still sober (but probably feeling a little happy from the effects of the liquor I had drunk before this), just before I had downed six shots of the vilest liquid I’ve ever tasted.
